Default 2001 - for the past year I have had a starting problem

2001 blazer - I have had a starting problem for past year. Turns over but does not start - sometimes. had a vapor build up in tank and it wouldn't take gas. Sometimes when it turns over it sounds like a whoooshing sound. just keeps turning over.

took it to a station - they changed fuel pump. worked for about a week - engine service light came on. I took it to a chevy dealer - they changed fuel pump again (I told them I already did that) I got it back (no engine service light) worked for about a week - light came on - no start.

someone told me about a blazer problem with a "vapor recovery strap or tub or something like that that needed changing on a couple of blazer he knew about.

I need to know what that is and could it be the problem - car is going back to the bone head dealer to fix and I want to give him proper info. Help!!

Before you go through all that trouble, make sure your battery coonections are good. Don't just look at them, take the negative then positive cable off the battery. The AC Delcos are know for having the positive post coorode away inside the battery, typically it happens whent eh batteries are aobut 3-4 years old. It cuases all sorts of weird electrical trouble.
