Default How long have you had and how much have you put into your blazer?

I bought mine November '09 with 117k miles. Now it has 135k.

Both wheel bearings
Both front rotors
All 4 ball joints
Tie rod ends
Plugs and wires
Door hing pins on both front doors
Brake pads
Drivers door panel
2 stock speakers blew
Rear hatch glass(defrost broke)
I'm sure I'm missing something.

And now the heater core is shot and everything rattles and squeaks(as usual)

So how long have you had your blazer and what do you have to do to keep it on the road. I know most of this is just regular maintenance, but it all seemed to happen at the same time. But the motor runs like a champ, always good oil pressure, after tune up it hasn't skipped a beat, not a thing wrong with it drivetrain wise.

picked up my '98 4 door, 4WD LT on December 23rd, 2008.

original owner, 158 807kms on the clock. fully loaded (full power driver's seat, full leather, moonroof, Auto Climate Control, factory tow package).

now has a touch under 220 000kms. not bad considering i just went back to work after a 20 month slow down (ie; laid-off).

when i first got the truck i had to do pitman arm. idler was ok, but i replaced it as a percaution.

-in the first week (or so) i changed all driveline fluids & engine coolant,
-got a complete-BN in the boxes-AC Delco tune-up of Kijiji for $100 (February/'09),
-did complete rear brakes (BN rotors, pad, brackets, sliders & calipers) in late February/'09. BN front pads & rotors @ that time as well,
-replaced the original battery in April. managed to sqeeeeeze in a 1050CA one in there (barely!),
-in early May (of this year) i replaced the TCCM & rear window with "like new" wrecker pieces,
-replaced front/rear pads, machined all rotors last week of May.

considering what i tow with it, it runs like a champ. never has an issue in the dead of Winter, or what mud baths i've given it.

what i need to do;
-driver's pins/bushings. original owner let it get so bad it's actually worn the cab bracket hole bigger than the bushing head (gonna fab up a sleeve @ work to press in). mind you, i still haven't fixed it after 18+ months!
-find a water leak somewhere above my head. i'm guessing some rain water might be getting by the factory moonroof, since it only drip after a very heavy rain fall.

Bought my 2000 in '03 with 27,000 miles on her. Today it has 185,000 miles and its 10 years old.

Rebuilt tranny at 105,000
Replaced spider injector assembly this year.
REplaced CAt and 02 sensors becuase of the leaking spider assemble.
Replaced the right wheel bearing and half shaft.
Fuel pump and fuel filter once.
Water pump and hoses once, plus Dex-Cool once.
REplaced the vacuum switch.
Front brakes twice and rears once (I think).
Couple sets of BFg All-Terrain tires.
Maybe a headlight or two, dont remember ever replacing them, however I cant imagine they lasted 10 years.
Oh wiper blades a couple times.

Other than that, oil changes, cap/rotor, plugs, wires and thats about it.

Still has the original balljoints, shocks, u-joints, etc. I run 30" tires and dont have any t-bar crank.

-oil changes/air filter
