Default 2001 tailgate strut, NOT for the window.

Does anyone know where you can buy the small tailgat shock that prevent the tailgate from slamming down? Ive searched the forum and google to no avail. Everything shows up for the window lift assist struts but I dont need those. Any help appreciated. 2001 ZR2 Blazer

Yeah those are right. Is parts geek.com reliable? Id rather pay $12 than $30 from LMC. At $30 ill just deal with it haha.

parts geek, autopartswarehouse, rock auto, all good places to go. I usually just use LMC truck for what they technically call the part.

check your old one for a part #
you can usually cross reference that number if you go to the manufacturers site

Where I live there is no advance auto or auto zone. There is a carquest and I believe a Napa. I just havent had time away from work to go in and talk to anyone yet and I figured I might be able to get it cheaper online. There is a part number on the strut, ill do some searching with the part number when I get back home...at a tournament this weekend and dial up internet at home.
