Default '95 Blazer - Engine cutting out & dies

Hello, i am new to the forum and looking for some help. i have a 1995 Blazer with the 4.3 vortec which was rebuilt last year. The problem began when i was returning from a trip and it began putting as though it was running out of gas. i continued 4-5 miles and it died. i have checked the fuel line and am getting gas. i have not been able to test the pressue but i believe it's ok. after the engine cooled, it restarted - drove for a couple of miles and the same problem happened. eventually, it stopped starting entirely.

i thought maybe it was the pick up coil - so i bought an entire new distributor. after that, the car would at least start - but would only run for 20 minutes and then the same cutting out and dying. then i replaced the ignition coil. nothing changed. i have checked all the plugs.

at no time have i gotten the SES light or any codes. i am wondering if it could be the catalytic converter.

Does anyone have any ideas? I appreciate any assistance!

Test the pressure. You cannot possibly tell the difference between 50psi and 60psi which could be the problem all together. You also have no way of telling if there is a leak down problem which can cause the engine to run extremely rich.

Most common failures for the CPI injection system are the FPR, the nut kit (internal lines), and the electrical connector. All of which are independently replaceable for less than the whole spider assembly.

I had a simular issue replaced Spider unit with Fuel pressure gauge and then this winter the wiring harness went and just replaced the nut kit to try and solve rough idle issue but no luck

replaced Spider injector/FPR for a simular issue and then several months later the electrical connector went bad, If you get it running try and wiggle the connector wires and see if it dies out.
