Antifreeze Leak / Intake Manifold Gasket Replacement
I have a 99 Blazer LS, 4x4 with 132,000 miles. It has a slow antifreeze leak. The system has been pressure tested with 18lbs of pressure, and the dealer claims an intake reseal is needed. This seems correct, as I have never seen any puddles on the ground where I park, and cannot see any leaky connections when under the vehicle. In addition, I will very infrequently notice a slightly sweet smell when I first get into the truck and start it up - which would be the antifreeze burning off of the outside of the engine.
My question is this: has anyone replaced the intake manifold gasket and can you give me any pointers? Aside from looking fairly tedious with lots of itmes to disconnect, are there any hidden issues that take special tools/equipment to deal with? Is there anything special to re-attaching the throttle and/or cruise-control pieces? Are there any online manuals to help with this sort of work?
Thanks in advance!

RE: Antifreeze Leak / Intake Manifold Gasket Replacement
I am actually in the exact same boat as this post. The shop quoted me at 700 dollars to replace the intake manifold gasket. I checked it out at Autozone and it is $40 for all the parts. I am going to try to do as much research on this as I can and maybe do it on Saturday. Does anyone have any advice or resources?..... A guy at work said it isn't that hard, but he may have just been blowing smoke up my rear...
