Luckyace...Long story short , this exact situation is how I now have a Blazer in my Driveway...

My Brother broke the same bolt , couldn't get it out. So he had someone replace the LIM. Needless to say , the wrong LIM was installed...Didn't matter anyways , the damage was already done. Things been sitting for a year with coolant in the oil pan.

Don't let it go that far and you should be fine.

Those LIM's are not cheap by any means either, so be sure they get the correct one and get a quote up front.

On a side note, I should be having the engine swapped out by around March..Then I can start to move forward.

 

$780 quote... well, it sucks but needs to be done at this point.

The price includes replacing my radiator with a new one since it got bent pretty bad by a deer a few weeks ago.

Also has a 12,000 mile 1 year warranty. The rate I drive this thing it will be 3 months xD

 

Well shoot..That's not to bad, especially including the radiator.. Awesome!

 

Just wish it broke down at my parents. I'd of had a garage and been 600 miles farther south, and more importantly out of the snow. Could of tried it myself there.

 

Got the car back... everything works fine.

Just one complaint, quote said green coolant (which I had in the car) and they put in dex-cool... They said they flushed the system, but still, I paid $200 for a full flush so I could get rid of that stuff.
