98 Blazer...cruise down highway and watch tach go up, but no 'pull'...feels like tranny slip but tranny guy says tranny ok, mechanic says everything else ok...puter? Tranny guy says his puter calls it an 'unwarranted downshift'? (feels like it's going into neutral, or a tranny slip, but then settles down and feels fine?) Worse when hot outside.
Any thoughts?

My blazer did this right after it was rebuilt. Took it back to the trans shop and they found the whole TCU was toast. Replaced it and never had an issue since. Not saying this is your issue but its possible. Might want to ask Lastcoupe or Swartkk on this forum as they may have more technical insight than me.

The "Help and Suggestion center" is not for tech help, but for help navigating and usingthe site, and suggestions of how to improve the site. You shouldhave postedyour questionin the "Engine and Transmission" section of the site.

BTW when was the last time you had your trans. fullyserviced? Sometimes you have problems with slipping and is nothing more than a clogged filter or dirty fluid.
