Banker 1 and 2 sensor

Banker 1 and 2 sensor
My 1995 Vin W blazer is in the shop now. I am at the end of the rope here. It seems like it is starving for fuel on acceleration. It gave a multiple misfire code three weeks ago and I cleared the code.I did a complete tune up and it did not fix my problem. The dealership can't get the code to come on. They have replaced the fuel pump and are now saying the Banker 1 and 2 sensors are not working correctly. What are these sensors and could it be my problem? Thanks.

RE: Banker 1 and 2 sensor
Sounds like they are talking to your banker about how much money you have in your account so they can see how much they can bleed out of you without breaking the bank! LOL
Bank 1 is the driver side. Bank 2 the passenger. However, on a 95, there is only one O2 sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1) that is responsible for fuel delivery. There likely are two others, B1S2 & B1S3, which are emissions monitoring sensors only.

Hows $480.00 sound for diagnostics and replacing these sensors. They say the sensorsare working at a very low rate. If it doesn't fix it, then I wonder what will be next.

RE: Banker 1 and 2 sensor
You are kidding right... Only one of those sensors would have anything to do with the operation of the engine. I say replace the upstream sensor (the one on the exhaust closest to the engine - just behind the "Y" in the y-pipe) yourself and tell the dealer to go screw someone else. $580 for $100 worth of sensors is a complete rip off.
