i do not think it will be a direct bolt in.. i looked up my catalog and the part numbers for the 98/99 are different than the 95... as for modifications if you could get the 95 fuel pump in it or hook up the existing fuel lines to the pump out of the 98/99 model maybe you could get it to work... would probably be easier to hunt a little bit for a salvage yard tank out of a 95.. it looks like 95 is the only model year they used the tank that is in it..

Very ambiguous question. Late 95 to post 97 was when a few changes were made. In 96 the went to the enclosed plastic fuel module from the exposed hanger style.
You can Mad-Max anything just remember the old single dump cpi on the 95 requires at least 5 more psi to work properly so you will have to put a 95 pump inside the newer module.
