Default ignition lock cylinder

i have a 97 blazer and i think i need a new lock cylinder cause it is hard to turn the key and it doesn't go into the lock position all the time. luckily my key is worn enough to pull it out. but my question is once i install the new lock cylinder, do i have to relearn the ECU for the new cylinder? i have an aftermarket alarm w/remote start. i heard something about the passlock system but i don't know if that applies to me. thanks

noting will change with your alarm/remote start, because you are lucky like me and have no passlock on your truck. It started in 1998. as for the reprogramming of things, Im not sure.
