2001 Blazer Power Window gets tired, then works
I have a 2001 Blaz., and the drivers side power window stops for awhile when opening and closing. If I wait a few minutes and then try the switch again, the window progresses a little more (either opening or closing a little more or all the way). Any suggestions as to what could be causing this? - estimated cost to repair?

Sounds as though either the regulator is not adjusted properly (can happen) or the motor itself is on its way out (much more likely). The replacement motors are available for anywhere from $60-$80 and require the removal of some rivets that hold the motor to the regulator frame. The new motor will come with bolts to bolt it to the regulator.
What happens is as the motor ages, it looses it's power and uses more amperage to do what it can. Each window motor has a resetable circuit breaker that will trip when it overloads, then automatically resets once it cools.
You may have to remove the whole regulator to get the rivets out.
Hope this helps! Let us know if you need any further information.
