History: I imported a blazer from Japan to NZ.We know it had an attemped thieft.The ignition was damaged, so i installed a 2nd hand column.The car starts, then cuts out after a few seconds.
We have tried the 3x 10 minute reset, we have cut the ignition wire and tried different resistors.
We tried solidering the wires on the main column loom plug (gm fault repair).
The fuel pressure tested good.We got the motor running by putting lpg diectly into the manifold, so shes not seized.

I hear their is a reset by opening doors etc ??????.

We tried a scan tool, but it was an aftermarket one (not GM) no codes came up.

The security light did flash and go out after 5 secs, but now it flashes constantly.

I have 2 remotes, with new batteries - I did the power lock button reset, but neither of them work either.

Our GM dealers are not experienced with blazers, as they are not a common car here.

Any help at all appreciated.

I have just found a previous thread that had a shortcut to Tech Tips (relearn processes).
We are going to try all these again, I see that many relearn steps from different sources, have slightly different processes !!

I also see an ad for remote start up units - do these disengage factory passkey systems ?
