Default Starter turns over REALLY slow

and the dash lights are dim out like crazy when trying to start my new engine swap.

now the connections to the starter are a bit loose, but I REALLY cant get in there to tighten them all the way, GM didnt allow much room to turn a wrench/socket...

and this is with a jumper pack charged all the way up, could corrosion or a weak battery still cause this with a jumper pack on it?.

it sounds like the starter is turning REALLY slow, I only hear it spin once, the only other thing I wonder about is if I got the distributer installation right..

Dirty/loose connections can cause all sorts of problems. You have to get in there and tighten down those lugs on the starter to ensure that all of the power you are putting into it can get to the point of use. Extensions, universal joints, etc can all be combined to get the ratchet out where you can use it. Just make sure to have the battery disconnected when you do this or sparks will fly!

charge your battery, if the lights are dimming you are most likely not getting enough power, if your battery is completely dead than you still may not be getting enough power with a booster pack, charge your batt or go get a $10 set of jumper cables from walmart... If your distributor is in wrong it wont start will will start and run really rough, shouldnt cause your starter to spin slowly
