Weird Brake Noise
Ok I am going to try and describe this as best I can. First off I have a 1998 Chevy blazer 4 door 4wd. The Abs is very sensitive on this car so I pulled the fuse. When braking sometimes whatever the weather may be the ABS will kick on. Also sometimes when I hit above the 50mph speeds I will hear a loud humming noise from the passenger side wheel well. The noise will lessen as speeds increase and get louder as I come to stop. When coming to a stop I hear a sort of clunk or click down there and it goes away when I accelerate again. Only really happens if I have speed above 55 mph with the ABS fuse in or out. Can someone point me into the right direction. My brake light has not come on in the dash to indicate a problem with the brakes.

RE: Weird Brake Noise
My ABS did this, and it did today as well. My ABS light came on, so I figured there was a bad connection somewhere. Sure enough on the passenger side the ABS wire severed at the steering knuckle. I soldered it back together and the problem was fixed, but I think it came undone after mud-bogging today. I would check your wires and connections. Other than that I can't be of much help. =P

I would check the conditon of your u-joints in the front end and also all break components for excessive wear!!
