Update:


Solved. The noise was the catalytic converter. The honeycomb brick was 1/2 clogged and the remaining half was broken up and bouncing around the body of the cat.

Now I've got a nice new high-flow cat, a FM Super 44, and 3" piping all the way out the back of the cat, and noooooo rattle or lack of power Not a bad problem to "fix"

How many miles did the stocker last you?

Not sure about his but my 96 has 136,500 on it with the original cat and so far its still OK.

It started light, random rattling at like 130k, it had been like the video in the last 2-3k miles, finally replaced at 140k.
