I installed a new 140 AMP alternator after my original one died.
The new alternator works GREAT! However now there is a constant high pitch whistling coming from the area around the alternator.
When my Blazer is idling it is a little louder than when the RPM's are up.
I thought it might be my old serpentine belt so I replaced it, but the whistling is still there.
Any ideas/help would be appreciated!

On my 1996 Blazer 2WD, I just replaced my "stock" 105 amp alternator with a AD244 140 amp unit. My stock serpentine belt was 96" long. I bumped it up to a Dayco 97" belt, so far no belt squeaks or alternator noise.
