I've replaced the MAS about 9 months ago. It doesn't surge like before I replaced the MAS. Just stalls out & dies when I come to a stop. What else could it be? Air filter is in good shape.

 

any check engine lights on?

 

No lights. A friend said that his blazer did that & just clean the throttle body, worked fine after that. Trying this as soon as I get a chance

 

Does the engine restart with no problems and idles?

 

Starts & runs fine with throttle but dies when idling.

 

Mu suggestion would be to first clean the Idle Air Control (IAC) along with the air passages in the throttle body. Then check the operation of the TPS with an ohm meter. More likely the IAC is not working and hopefully a good cleaning will fix it, if not then replacement may be necessary.
