Default 02 no start I'm torn

Ive verified that I get 60 keyed up I pulled the upper intake and found it washed so I replaced the regulator put it back together it fired right up, I did pull the spider and cleaned it off gently... I go out next day and its just cranking!!! It's gotta be in the spider, but could also be the check valve in the JUNK AIRTEX last year... Any suggestions ?? Thanks

Ignition ON, engine OFF, fuel pump will run for ~2 seconds and shut off. Fuel pressure must be 60psi to 66psi while the pump is running. After the pump shuts off, pressure must remain above 55psi for at least 10 minutes. If it fails either or both parts of this test, further testing is required to pinpoint the problem. Post your results.

Probably the check valve in the Airtex pump is leaking, (VERY common). Provided there are no external fuel leaks, those parts should take care of the problem. Most manufacturers do an acceptable job with the injector assembly, the fuel pump is a different story... use AC Delco or Delphi only.
