hood hinge. they make fix washers for it.

Without a doubt it isn't coming from outside the truck. Definitely behind the passenger side airbag/glove box.

Not from the exhaust, The sound is at it's worst when I apply the brakes @50mph. It's even worse now that my rotors didn't wear evenly.
I dread taking apart the dash. Couldn't I just get an airbag recall and have the dealership do it??

The hood hinge noise is very loud inside the vehicle since it is right at the firewall. before pulling your dash, get the washers that the dealer recommends.
If it does not fix the problem, its cheap. If it does, you just saved yourself the time of pulling the dash to not fix the issue.
