When you initially turn the ignition to the ON position, (do not start the engine) the fuel pump will run for ~2 seconds and then shut off. What is the fuel pressure when the pump is activated?

Proper fuel delivery on these engines is mandatory. Unfortunately it has a fairly high failure rate.

the blazer seems to be running pretty smooth now its not smoking like it was its still running a little rich because i can smell it.but its running again so i cant complain.i have an old snap on counselor mt1665
that was given to me.they said it works and has everything with it except for a manual or any instructions with it i have never hooked it up or tried to use it. is this thing something i could use on this blazer if i could find some instructions somewhere on how to use it? and do you have any idea where i can look to find any info on how to use it? or is is useless? i dont even know what it does or what its for but they were going to throw it away so i took it thinking it might come in handy someday and maybe someday i can learn how to use it.

You can try the Snapon website, other than that, you might be SOL.

Happens to be your lucky day, and I'm good with Google:

A bit of a large file (around 70 mb or so). May take a moment. Looks like the real deal, however. (From: West Coast Fieros Forum: SnapOn MT-1665 )
