My blazer had fuel spraying from one of the lines under the back end. I was told I had to replace the whole gas tank or fuel pump to get the lines, but my question was, could I just buy the lines or maybe repair them by getting some rubber hose and hose clamps and cutting out the bad section of the line and replacing it with the rubber hose and clamps? Or do I have to get the whole unit? It was pretty rusty which I believe caused the small pinhole causing it to spray fuel out... I can get pictures if needed. I was thinking about going in the morning and getting the rubber hose and clamps if I can do that and try experiencing a with it myself. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Fuel injection rated rubber line will work as a temporary patch job. If you want to do the job properly and safely, cut out the rusty line and use compression fittings and steel line. The pressure line is 3/8" & the return line is 5/16". If you need to go more than a couple of feet or so, it's cheaper to use compression fittings anyway.

i dont think jb weld will hold with it being rotted and that much pressure. if its rotted on the actual sending unit then yeah looks like youre gonna have to buy a new sending unit.

you cant just cut the line and put a rubber hose over it you have to cut the metal fuel line and use a double flair tool (rent one at autozone) to put the flair on the end of the line then slide your rubber line over it and clamp it thats how my truck is done and its been holding up for about a year
