1995 Blazer LT Idle
I recently purchased a 95 Blazer with 215,xxx Miles. It seems to run great and has plenty of power and pep, but after I drive it a while and stop at a stop light or pull in the driveway, it seems to have a different sound in the exhaust. It doesn't really shake or vibrate, just seems like a different sound. I thought I heard stuff moving around in the converter, could this be a clogged converter?
Thanks

Hey! If it sounds rattlly,it very well may be a bad converter, but first get under there with a rubber mallet and wail(well, gently) on the exhaust system,if no excesive hanger or any other obvious system looseness is evident,it is time to replace the converter! Consider replacing the entire system at this time,as it is cheap insurance. You can do the whole job in your driveway for about $300-$350! Happy 4TH!!!

it can be that or the baffles in your muffler are shot and moving around ...to test that wait for your exhaust to cool crawl under it and try to shake you muffler or cat and listen to hear if anythings bagging around in there if its you cat though i would think you would have a code popped on your dash...
