Hey All, I have a 1995 Blazer 2 door LT and I'm getting issues with my Service Engine Soon light coming on. It codes as a cat converter efficency issue. I don't want to spend a bunch on a new converter, so I'm thinking of going with a inexpensive code reader so I can reset the light if / when it comes on.

(A) Can anyone tell me how to find out if my 1995 is or is not ODB2? I know that 1995 was a "Transition" year so it would seem that some are and some not.

(B) does anyone have a recommendation of a ultra inexpensive reader / resetter?

If your computer is on the passenger fender under the hood its OBDII, if its under the dash its OBD1.5...advance auto and autozone can scan for free and sell the scan tool also,,,you can also disconnect the battery to reset the light but if there is a problem it will not stop the SES light from returning.
