Default 1995 Blazer Turn Signal Issues PLEASE ADVISE!

Hello. I have a 95 blazer and I have an issue with my turn signals. Previoulsy they would work, but the right one you would have to shut off manually because when you reset the steering wheel to its main position it would not shut off, then all of sudden they both stopped working. I assumed that the relay went out. I bought 2 new relays and took the bottom dash off and replaced both relays. The hazards work fine, but neither of the directionals work still....please advise next step. I was told by the man at the auto parts that probably the swith to the steering column is bad...that seems to technacal for me to replace. Thanks in advance. Have a great day!

Sounds like the switch in the steering column to me too. No idea how hard it is to replace.

Maybe you could buy or just look in one of those books, forget the name, that shows exploded views of everything on the vehicle. Haynes manual, that's it.

It's a plastic piece that turns them off and you do have to pull the steering wheel.

The turn signal cam is inside the steering column. Not really all the difficult to replace. You can get the cam at most anto parts stores. Problem is pulling the steering wheel. For this you will need a (are you ready for this) steering wheel puller. Autozone, O'Reilly has these on the tool rental program. Very easy to use.

Since you have to remove the air bag, be sure to disconnect the battery first and I suggest waiting at least 15 minutes before pulling the air bag....just in case their is stored energy in the componenets. Once the air bag is removed, sit it someplace so that again just in case it were to deploy, no one would get hurt.

The turn signal cam is just under the steering wheel.

Stop by some weekend and we can replace it in an hour.
