Default 1995 Jimmy dead in the water

A friend of mine's son was driving his Jimmy down the highway, and all of a sudden the engine stopped, no sputter no pause, just dead, the fuel pump checks out fine and the ignition module seems fine, checked for loose connections and its not indicating any trouble codes. Anybody have any suggestions?

My first guess would be a faulty ignition switch which can just fail on ya, leaving you stranded. Being a '95 though I don't think they had the problems that the newer ones do...

What happens when you try to start it?
