Default Same Problem 95 blazer still will not start

This Blazer has the spider web Feul Injection in the middle of the intake on top of the engine.

Found a way to start it. Sometimes

Turn key on for a few swconds to build up fuel pressure. Turn it off. Then Bump the starter a few times. Just bump it like trying to get to TDC. It will hit a couple of times and after a few tries will start (sometimes) . If you just crank the engine it will never start, acts like the fuel is cut off.

That tells me something in the electricatrical system is killing the fuel pressure or it is flooding the engine when you continue to crank. This is one of those models that if you pushed the gas feed down while trying to start it would be very hard to start.

Have replaced the Puel Pump Relay with a new one. did not fix the problem.

I agree with the electrical problem and it may be the ignition switch. I suggest putting a voltmeter on the fuel pump terminal that is available in the engine compartment and check for +12V when the key is turned to START. The bumping of the starter working may actually be an intermittment contact in the ignition switch....or fuel pump relay.

If I remember correctly the fuel pump lead is orange and just above the driver's front fender.

Good luck with this.

I don't have a manual on this year Blazer but, my 1989 Suburban had an oil pressure switch that provided 12 volts to the in tank fuel pump. When the ECM controlled relay for 12 volts to the fuel pump durring start up had bad contacts, it was hard to start.... Just a thought, may or may not be valid in the Blazers.......

LannyL81, depends which system the OP has. The early CSFI engines do not have a pump prime wire. The CMFI pump prime wire goes through the fuel pump relay, then to the pump. It is connected to the fuel pump only when the ignition is off. The pump prime wire is connected to terminal 87a of the fuel pump relay and it is open when the fuel pump relay is activated.
