pcv valave is on the valve cover on left side if your looking at the front.Yes they are cheap and easy to replace.Cost about $5 give or take.

There should be a label on the radiator support with a diagram of the PCV and the hose in relation to the engine. BTW the PCV is another one of those items which is best if it is AC/Delco brand even though it may cost a bit more.

UPDATE ON WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS!!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that this was a cracked intake manifold, with the crack being back by the distributor. Hopefully this helps anyone out there digging through these threads!

I am still not clear on what you mean by 'cracked intake manifold'? Are you referring to the upper intake manifold or the intake to the Throttle body?
