Default Replacing Rear Quarter Glass (4-Door)

Has anyone replaced the rear quarter glass?

I can get the glass from a junk yard; I'm looking for tips on installing it.

Well, having no idea what it invloved, I decided to pay I guy at the junk yard to remove my old glass and install the new (old) glass. The junk yard charged me $50 for the glass and $35 to remove it from the junk car. (I thought that fee was kind of bogus since they didn't mention it prior.) I paid the dude $50 to install it my Blazer. $135 total, but half what it would have been for Safelite. After having watched what he did, I think I could have done it myself. I'm not sure about the tool though. It was a long handle that he could use two hands on with a razor blade at the end that you can adjust for length. The glass has a soft rubber molding around most of it and a hard plastic louver at the rear. They are all one unit and are boned to the glass. The glass is simply held in place with Dow U-428 Plus Auto Glass Urethane Adhesive. To remove the old he put a piece of cardboard on the inside and pushed all the shattered glass outward. (Do this in a place you can sweep up the pieces.) Then he cut the sealant with the large handle razor blade and cleaned it up with a standard razor blade tool. He cleaned the sealant off the new (old) one and laid a tall bead of the sealant around the surface of the window opening on the Blazer. The bead was made tall by standing the angled cut nozzle up. He set the glass in and slid it around until it was in the right place. It looks you might be able to get the tube of adhesive for $10.
