So after taking a break from working on my car I got back to it today. I changed the vacuum switch on the transfer case. I grounded pin 13 to run the diagnostics. I am getting DTC 2: encoder fault.

This will be the third encoder motor that has been in the vehicle. It was working for a short time, I could hear the encoder motor engage the transfer case and now nothing.

With my car in drive my 2hi light does not light up anymore and nothing happens when I push the 4hi light. When i put the car in neutral and push the 4hi light both the 4hi and 4lo lights will flash but no action from the encoder motor.

I guess its time to switch the motor again. Have any other suggestions?
