I got home from fishing and noticed that my key/fob was not locking
or unlocking my doors. I pressed the unlock/lock button on the driver side and passenger side and nothing. After unloading my stuff I went back to see if my truck was just screwing with me again. I tried the key-less fob and the buttons
and they did not lock or unlock the doors. I checked the fuse on the driver side fuse box and it was good. I changed the battery in my fob ( Big Mistake ) and tried to re-program, it won't program unless the locks work. Duh! I did notice a ticking sound coming from around the parking brake area when I pressed the lock button on the passenger door and there was a ticking sound coming from the door lock area on the passenger door when I pressed the button on driver side.

The lock indicator on the passenger door feels like it's broken because there is alot of play when I move it up and down.


Then I remembered that when I was driving to the fishing hole I tried to use the rear wipers and they did not work ( never had a problem with them before ) and I hit the rear window button. I don't know if that has anything to do with this, but I thought I'd throw that in.


Does anyone have any suggestions??
