Default 1998 Blazer Heat A/C Problem

My a/c is charged and the compressor is running but all I get is heat. How do I know if it is the climate control temp switch or the door in the heater box? When I am driving you can feel the the air going from hot to cold.

Do either of your A/C lines get cold?

It could be that the solinoid for the temp door is not moving.

One A/C line should be cold, the other, quite hot... But if the air is not flowing through the A/C core in the HVAC housing, it may not get as hot because the system isn't working as hard.

I agree, it sounds like the temp door actuator (electronic actuator located on top of the HVAC housing behind the glove box - search for it) may be the likely culprit.

Don't mean to threadjack but I just seen this after I posted my question. I'm having the same problem, but mine is staying on heat only, not switching back and forth, I looked under the dash and cant locate exactly which one you are talking about, any more info?

nevermind, did more searching

You may need to remove the dash to find it. This sounds worse then it is, the dash comes out of these things pretty easy. A few screws along the top, a couple on the bottom, drop the column and tilt the dash forward....not to bad of a job. You can then see all of the actuators.
