1998 Blazer Questions??
Currently looking to purchase a 1998 Blazer LS with 160k. Found one that is in mint condition that is a 1 owner vehicle, however the owner told me no major work has been done only regular maintenance. Is this something i should stay away from? would i need timing chain or head gasket done in the next few thousand miles? oh check engine is on needs a 02 sensor. Does anyone know how much a 1998 with 160k should go for?

I bought my 98 4x4x4 for 3995....
I believe the airbag sensors can be a hassle, as well as the vacuum on the 4x4 switches...
I recently nailed a deer so if you guys see one you like... and realize its in illinois let me know other than that... I love my 98 and its a beast... Get one if you can

I just bought a 99 4dr 4x4 with 175000 on it. The motor was rebuilt about 30-40k ago but front suspension needed work. I would check how much play there is in the steering. Mine was bad and had to replace the pitman, and idler arms along with inner and outer tie rods. Ball joint need to be done, shocks were gone, just blew a seal on the half shaft (gobs of green grease swirled aound the shaft) so those need to be replaced also. Hinge pins and bushings on the doors are also notoriusly bad. Most of the parts on mine, except the shocks, as far as I can tell were original.
