1999 Blazer park brake shoe parts?

Hello,everyone...
I am in the process of replacing my park brake shoes. I have rear disc, so the parking brake uses shoes inside of the rotor. I have a question...
There is a part included with the shoes that I cannot figure out where it goes. It is made like a wire type "spring" of some sort, about the thickness of a coat hanger. My Blazer does not have this, nor does the service manual show it.
What is it? Like I said...it is made of wire, and in sort of a U-shaped design. If you go to Autozone and look up the parking brake shoes for a 1999 S-10 Blazer 2-door, you will get a picture and see what I am talking about. It basically looks like a coat-hanger that is bent funny.
What the heck is it for, and where does it go? It is almost bent in the size of the diameter of the shoes, but I cannot figure where it goes.
Any help on this one?
Thanks,
Henry

The FSM makes mention of a hold down spring. Not sure if that is the part though. I did not remove these parts when I serviced the rear axle on my old Bravada.
