1999 Chevrolet Blazer 100K tune-up...
Hello,
I'm new here.
Got a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer, considering keeping it.
Serviced regularly when new, not much lately.
2010: oil+filter, brake fluid, air filter, fuel filter, transmission oil + filter
2011: oil+filter, air filter
2012: oil+filter, new right front wheel bearing, new rear calipers (both left and right)
It has 100K miles now. Brakes are almost absent, engine is weak (no power/acceleration, doesn't feel like 190 HP at all), road defects very noticeable (rough ride), coolant looks muddy/rusty, steering feels a little lose.
I'm considering a "tune-up". What should be addressed?
I'm thinking:
- Brakes and new brake fluid
- Transmission flush, oil + filter change
- Cooling system flush + new fluid
- Plugs, wires, distributor, rotor
- PCV valve/filter
- Fuel filter
- Air filter
- Shocks
- Lower/upper ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, idle/pitman arms?
Anything else?
Thanks.
Allman
