1999 Won't start
I am hoping you guys can help me out here. For the most part my blazer starts up no ploblem, but every once and a while when I try to start it it will attempt to startbut just crank over and not start. Now with the researh I have done it has somthing to do with the security system and I have to wait exactly tem min then it will start right up no problem. But no one knows why and/or how to fix it.
Thanks, Bill.
Thanks, Bill.

RE: 1999 Won't start
my 99 kinda did the same thing today,,, except, it would not crank over,,security had everything locked wheel, brake key shifter nothing could be moved. My daughter called me to let me know. by the time I got there. (over ten minutes) I adjusted the tilt wheel,,, just to have room to "look" at things. and it started right up. once we got home I put the code reader on the vehicle, and NO codes, or errors showed at all. so I did the hail mary fixer upper, I disconected the battery for a few minutes, and hooked it back up to "reboot" the system?? I am now going to "read the manual" to see if I can learn the old fashion way.

by locked wheel, do you mean the steering wheel was locked from being able to be turned?

Yes the steering wheel would not move, nor the brake peddle, the key would turn back one click, but not towards the on //start position. anyhow today she didnt have any problems with it.. and I do not know why she had this problem yesterday. "Great web site thanks for keepin the doors open"

RE: 1999 Won't start
i turned my wheel completely to one side once before i turned off the car
when i got back in i found it almost impossible to get it to turn on.
the key would turn 1 click (like you said) but wouldnt go any further - like it was hitting something and couldnt turn any further.
i had to use both hands to turn the wheel and used all my strength to try to turn the wheel one way (then the other) and had someone turn the key when i finally got the wheel to budge about an inch.
it started right up.
dont know if this is the same problem that you are having - but you could give it a try.
