I have a 2001 LT, I bought an in-dash dvd player and it wont play because the Parking Brake wire isnt connected. There was no connection on the harness from Best Buy. does anyone know which wire is the parking brake wire??? I'm lost.....

 

it will be at top of emergency brake pedal by the drivers kick.

It does not at all. thats why they usually give you some extra wire for it. what kind of dvd player did you buy? (brand) and model number.

 

It's a cheap one, VR3, I dont know model number off hand... Theres a parking Brake wire from the unit harness, but its the same length as the other wires. sounds like it's not gonna work...

 

All you need to do in that case is get some wire and connect the ends together.

I don't know what wire it is. You said there was a wire on the head unit wiring harness that you know of to wire too, well take and butt connect a wire to that and run it underneath the dash to the emergency brake pedal area and look for and wires going to it.
