2000 Blazer Fuel Pump Replace - 7 hours
Daughter's Blazer quit in the driveway Saturday
Today around 1PM I put the Blazer up on jack stands
and between watching all the wrecks at Talladega on TV and a few
breaks for cookies, I did a test drive around 7PM.
All thanks to the great "sticky-notes" on pulling the tank and replacing the
fuel pump.
Is this a great forum or what ????
ps I got a 50 dollar on-line discount on the Delphi 250 dollar pump
at Advance Auto.

It was a four door. I had to lower and remove the spare tire to gain access to the wires and fuel lines.
One thing I failed to mention.... The little plastic clips that lock the fuel lines to the pump ... be careful with them. They stay on the pump fittings .... squeeze gently because the new pump didn't come with the clips. Squeeze the plastic clips and pull them and the lines toward the pump... the fuel lines should then release. Use the clips on the new pump if they weren't damaged.

So. in other words, the last trailer didn't just leave the monster mile, but showed up a week early on the next track
Good for you, and great tip!! Those fuel line clips are a P.I.T.A. for sure! Learnt my lesson on a '88 LeSabre - keep a sheep load in the box - they WILL break, on a Sunday afternoon, when everyone is closed, and your (I'm) half in the bag!
P.J.
I believe you can do it without lifting the vehicle
I can lol! Last time I did my pump I was started and finished in an hour
I've done a couple and have a built in lift tho so I guess I have a few advantages!
