Default 2000 blazer fuel tank bolt

I have a bad fuel pump on a 2000 blazer. Front bolt for the straps came out ok, but the bolt at the rear straps of tank came out only so far and now just spins. Is there any way to get it out or do i just have to cut it? If i cut it can i somehow get a new bolt in?

Welcome to the forum. The fuel tank straps are held in with a nut and bolt. A back up wrench on the top nut will let the bolt unscrew.

If it doesn't back out with a wrench as previously stated...I would cut it. It is a bolt and like a fender nut. They are readily available thru GM or a body supply house or I guess you could nut and bolt it but that may be tough to hold the nut as it spins-never did it that way. Good Luck-Jerry
