Default 2000 Blazer SCPI to junkyard MPFI conversion

Going to the junkyard tomorrow and looking to pull a MPFI spider off a 2003 Blazer to put into my 2000 Blazer. Is there any way I can verify the spider works before buying? Anything particular to look for?
Really don't want to buy a brand new one for $300
Thanks for input. BlazerForum is great!

You can measure the resistance on the two prongs from each injector. If all six pair are the same, good. If one is different, bad. If they are all the same, it could still be bad, it just checks the wiring. You could also connect 12 volts to each prong and listen for the very slight click each makes. You probably have to remove the spider before the voltage test. And again, just because you can hear it click, it still might be bad.

Duuuude. Thank you so much. This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
I get 30 day warranties at my JY.
I've read they can be a pain to remove. But I could find a good one.. eventually!
but that definitely helps narrow it down. Thanks again.

ive seen 'refurbished' MPFI units sold online. How would I go about refurbishing one?
