2000 blazer starts an dies

Default 2000 blazer starts an dies

my 2000 blazer starts an dies. just keeps doing that. if you hook jumper cables to it an let chargeit will start an run.sometimes you have to try it a few times.

When you get it running, remove the jumper cables and check the voltage at the battery, (while it's still running).

Ok,&???????????? So what your saying is if u charge the battery 1st it will run when u start it? Sounds like your culprit is a bad alternator!!! U should take it off and go have it tested at any auto parts store

that's what im starting to wonder. I thought of crankcase sinsor too. it cranks over real easy fires then dies. an after I mess with it long enough I have to jump it it seems to run after awhile.

What is the voltage when it's running? Could also be a Passkey problem. After it starts, is the security light on?
