My 2000 blazer fired right up last night when I moved it. It snowed here last night and this morning it wouldnt fire at all. I verified fuel pressure ~60psi while cranking. Tried starting it with help of a battery charger. I thought maybe some moisture got to the cap and rotor so I replaced both. Still won't start. Any ideas guys? Thanks

Is the distributor cap wired correctly?

Do you have good blue, (not orange) spark at each plug while cranking?
Will the engine try to start with a shot of carb cleaner?
Key ON, engine OFF, fuel pump running: fuel pressure must be 60psi to 66psi and must remain above 55psi for 10 minutes after the pump shuts off.

That was warm front precip wasnt it?
When your underhood parts are sweating and your plug wires are older and it doesnt start, first place to look.
Cap, rotor, wires,, wipe down coil tower.
Funny how those things become second nature.. first thing I look for on a no-start after precip .. ESPECIALLY warm-front precip.

Well I got it started jumping it with my diesel. The cap and rotor that were in there was in pretty bad shape it still had the factory GM sticker on the cap and i've got 165K on my blazer. My only guess is the plugs possibly got fouled when it wouldn't start yesterday morning and thats why I had so much trouble getting it going. I let it sit over night and it started right up this morning in the cold.

Know when you have a damp night go out in the dark and start, then look for any sparks.

In the future if it happens to flood, hold the throttle to the floor while cranking. This shuts off the injectors until it starts.
