Default 2000 chevy blazer

Ok so i have a problem. The emergency flasher relay constantly relays without a signal from hazard switch. When i step on the brakes it stops but continues again when i let off the brakes. Blinkers and emergency flasher work just a continuing clickin sound from the relay. Any suggestions??

Typical of a bad multifunction switch. You could try replacing just the hazard switch portion of the multifunction switch as a start considering it is only $17 from the dealer (search for the PN).

Default Same symptoms

I have the same symptoms with my 2000 Blazer, so I replaced the emergency flasher switch but still have the clicking noise from flasher behind dash. What is my next step? Do I need to spend the $200 for the multifunction switch?

I am sorry to say this, but yes, the next step would be to replace the multifunction switch.

I did a search of the part numbers listed in the Tech Article to see how much the Multifuction Switch would cost but none of the part numbers worked. I assumed that the part numbers listed were for the Multifuction Switch which then gave you the correct emergency flasher switch part number. Can you tell me what part number to order and are they any tricks to replacing the multifunction switch? Your Tech Article on replacing the emerency flasher switch was awesome. Is there one that I'm not finding for the multifuction switch as well?

Feel free to use any of the online parts store catalogs to get a part number. Rockauto.com is a good one.

The ones below assume tilt column & cruise control:
Napa - ECH DL6062 - $152.88
Autozone - Duralast SW1866 - $146.99
RockAuto.com - AC Delco D6254C - $123.79

Some also have the OE numbers listed in their product detail.
