The thermostat code can definitely result in poor mileage. I would definitely consider a cooling system service with a replacement thermostat and radiator cap.
The relay is located behind the battery along with the fuse for the AIR system.

code 0418
HI.....
Hopefully someone can help......I have a code 0418 (secondary air injection system Relay A circuit malfunction) I thought i found the relay next to the battery in the fender and i replaced it(AC Delco 158721) and i reset the codes and after a few it came back on again. Is this not the Relay A or was that relay B? Can someone give me a hand Thanks.....

I have attached the wiring schematic for your truck. You may want to test the wiring to the pump and solenoid.

Any specific wiring to look at cause i am not to savy on wiring diagrahms? I did notice on the bottom underneath the battery tray that there was a terminal hook up that has a big power cable connected to it and the other end comes off of that to somethiong else and it might be corroded? Thanks

All of the wiring runs from the relay location to the air pump under the radiator. Test continuity on all of the wires to their respective plug at the air pump.
