Default 2000 S10 electrical problem?

The other day after work I started my Blazer without any problems. I put it in gear and pulled about halfway out of the parking spot. The truck died and wouldn't restart. I thought that I might have run out of gas (gauge doesn't work) so I added 5 gal and changed the fuel filter. No luck. I get a P0336 (crankshaft reference signal circuit) code, what does this mean and is this the problem? Thanks for any help.
