2001 blazer 4x4 hard starts
I am having trouble starting my blazer especially when it is below freezing. Now that it is warm it starts very hard, almost to the point where it kills the battery before it starts. Sometimes I have to spray starting fluid to get it to start. After I get it started and it runs for a while it starts fine, until it sits for an hour or so then it has trouble starting. UPDATE as of today the truck wont start at all it trys to turn over but wont start someone mentioned today to try changing the spider could this be the problem?

Welcome. I have responded to the other thread you replied to, but I will move this thread into the 2nd Gen Tech section for your discussion.
That hose that is on the passenger side of the radiator fan shroud is for the AIR pump. It is supposed to be like that.
Have you tested fuel pressure?

Hey...i have a similar problem. Do you have a block heater? If so, plug it in on a cold night and see if it starts any easier in the morning. My problem seems to be sticking poppet nozzels on the spider injector unit. If i plug it in, starts first try every time. Starter fluid also works. From 9 degrees to -15 it is sluggish to start on it's, and below -16 it needs to be plugged in....and this is AFTER running a can of Seafoam through the fuel system once a month in the winter.
