Default 2001 Blazer Xtreme, P0452 code.

I've purchased the fuel tank pressure sensor. Do I really need to drop the tank to replace it? I'm hoping someone here has a easier / quicker method?

You did check or replace the fuel filler cap first right?

To replace the fuel tank pressure sensor will require the tank to be dropped down some as it is part of the fuel pump assembly. Not sure if it is located on top of the fuel pump assembly or within the assembly. Of course if within, the fuel tank will need to be dropped completely so the fuel pump assembly can be removed.

Hopefully a new cap will fix it.

I purchased the Blazer around two weeks ago. It has a brand new cap on it. Do you believe that it may be the culprit? It isn't a GM cap. I'm pretty sure it came from Advanced?

Thank you for the quick response, BTW.

New cap huh?...probably previous owner's attempt at fixing the issue.
I would get a Delco/OEM cap and try it. That after market cap just may not be 100% compatible and they are not that expensive, much easier than dropping the tank if it fixes the issue.

Oh and nice looking Blazer you got there. Given any thoughts to replacing the turn signals and headlights with some clear lenes? Would sure look good.
