Default 2001 electric problems

I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer, that is having an electric problem. While I am diving the dash losses power, everything from gauges to the stareo, for about 2 seconds and comes back up. The last time it did it when I turned off the car it had problems turning back on. If anyone knows what this is please let me know. Thanks
I would like too add on my way home from work today about 2 min before I got on the highway it did it then when I go on the on rape it did it, and when I go on the on the highway it did it over and over for about 3 miles maybe a little less. I was also told by my girlfriend and best friend that the headlights go out at the same time.

Sounds like a loose wire. Main power or ground to the fuse block.

I would say you are starting to notice the beginning of an ignition switch failure. Was your security light on while you were having problems starting it?
