Angry 2002 2wd Blazer

I have replaced the front and rear breaks and rotors and I am still getting a squeeking noise when I begin to move forward. The noise tapers of at about 25mph but never goes away. I am thinking it may be the U joints ( but do not understand why no noise when in reverse or when on jackstands) I could really use some help

How much clearance is there between the clips on the rear caliper brackets and the rear rotor?

X2, check the anti-rattle clips on the caliper brackets and try greasing up the u-joints ( that is if you have a grease fitting on them)

The pasenger side was just changed last year but not the drivers side.

Looks like it is going to be a drag. I have to go get a torch, as I have heard getting the front u joint out will take quite a bit of heat and strength.

Not sure but to add zest to the issue, yesterday I was driveing it again and now I have a slaping sound comming from the front end. It sounds like one of the calipers is slaping around. I threw it up on the jackstands again today but have not been able to figure it out yet. But for now I am going to stick with the drivshaft for today.

Well I just finished up this morning. I ended up cutting the base of the old u-joints out with a die grinder, leaveing only the caps in the driveshaft. Then I just heat them up with some map gas and they popped right out with a socket and a 3 lb sledge. I saw the cap that was fried. I still do not understand how the u-joint make such a weird squeek, but hey, the squeeking is gone and now I can start figureing out why one of my calipers is slapping around. lol
