2002 4 door front drivers door
Ok, I had my window half way down, and as I press the button to roll the window up I hear a popping sound. I get home and try to roll it up again, the window seems like it is off track, so as I take the door panel off..... The whole mounting bracket that the motor is hooked up to has ripped off the door. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them???? Am I going to have to replace the door? The rivets that hold the whole assembly to the door, the top left one literally did rip off and tore the metal on the door. Any suggestions?? If I do have to replace the door.... what years are compatible with a 2002 4 door...
Thanks in advance

WOW...that window motor has some high torque!!!
I believe the doors from 1998 to 2004 are the same.
Could you put a piece of sheet metal behind the area that got torn-out and pop rivet it in place?
Might try getting someone to spot weld a piece in....although I doubt anyone will.
Good luck with the repair...

Thanks for the response....after looking at it again, it only had 3 rivets holding the regulator in place not 4......weird....so I am guessing after time it just gave loose... I thought about using a piece of sheet metal and rivet it back in place.....I am sure that would work... But what about tack welding the regulator to the door, would that work???? Thanks for the info on the different year doors also.... another thing, the arm that has the 2 rollers on it..... I cannot figure out how that goes back on..... any help on that will be appreciated...
