I am a new guy to the forum and just purchased a 2002 Blazer LT that has only 1 ignition key and 1 remote.

The remotes seem to be available through many aftermarket sources but I haven't been able to find if there is there anything special about the ignition key, like a chip that needs programmed?

nothing special about the key. Anyone that makes keys can make it. jp[:@]
